Two standard-bore piston ring sets that fit the Kawasaki FD671D, FD711D, FD750D and FD791D twins and the FC290V, FE290D, FE290R and HF100A, all with the 78mm standard bore. Replaces ring set 13008-6007. One set does one piston, so a twin takes both sets. Measure the bore first: these are for a cylinder at the standard 78mm and within taper limits, and a cylinder bored oversize needs oversize rings. New rings cure oil consumption and blowby on a bore that is still round with a crosshatch, but will not seal against a scored or glazed cylinder. Check ring end gap with each ring squared in its bore, fit each ring with any marking facing up, stagger the gaps and use a ring compressor. Pistons, wrist pins and gaskets are not included.

WHEN RINGS ARE THE ANSWER - Oil consumption, blue smoke and blowby out the breather on a bore that is still round with a visible crosshatch. A scored or glazed cylinder will not seal against new rings.

FITTING THEM - Check end gap with each ring squared in the bore it will run in, fit each ring with any marking facing up, stagger the gaps around the piston, hone for a crosshatch and use a ring compressor. Pistons, wrist pins and gaskets are not included.
